Product Description:

 74HC595 Shift register IC A branch of the SOIC version. The clock inputs data and locks it to release the IO pins on the Micro. All pins on the IC are separated by standard 0.1 inch interval heads. Serial input and output pins are located on opposite sides of the board, and the remaining pins are carried so that multiple shift register boards can be linked together. This is a CMOS shift register with drain open output. The output port is a controllable three-state output terminal, which can also control the next level of cascaded chip by serial output. (Popular saying is that the module leads out all the pins inside the chip for easy use)
