This is an AC Dimmer Module designed to control the AC voltage applied to a load such as lamps, motors, pumps, or power tools. It uses a Thyristor BTA16-600B and a Zero-Cross Optoisolator MOC3042M, making it compatible with 3.3V/5V logic control (Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, STM32).

• Supports AC 50Hz/60Hz at 110V or 220V

• Control via microcontroller (PWM / trigger signal)

• Zero-Cross detection for smooth dimming

• Applications: light dimming, fan speed control, motor soft-start, smart home automation

✅ Control Methods:

• Leading Edge Phase Control (Triac Dimming) → Common in fan regulators and light dimmers

• Pulse Skip Modulation (PSM) → Passes or skips full sinewave cycles. Not recommended for lamps (may flicker), but usable for some motor or resistive loads.
  ⚠️ Important: Always skip/pass full sine cycles, never half-wave, to avoid DC bias on AC loads.

• The module detects AC zero crossing via optocoupler.

• Each zero-cross event can be used by a microcontroller interrupt.

• Software then determines when to fire the triac, controlling the effective voltage delivered.

• This allows smooth dimming and prevents abrupt flickering.
