MT6816 magnetically encoded chip is a new generation of high-speed and high-precision angle encoder chip launched by Magn Microelectronics. This chip is mainly used in brushless DC motor control, servo motor control, closed-loop stepper motor control, etc. Since the chip only responds to changes in the direction of the magnetic field parallel to the chip surface, MT6816 has low requirements for the processing error of the magnet itself and the installation distance error between the magnet and the chip during use.
MT6816 has a relatively wide operating temperature range and can work in the temperature range of -40~125 ℃, which greatly broadens the application scenarios of the chip. MT6816 provides an incremental ABZ output interface that replaces the traditional photoelectric encoder. The maximum resolution of the incremental output is 1024 pulses/revolution or 4096 steps/revolution. It also provides an incremental UVW signal to replace the Hall, with 1~16 pairs of poles programmable.
MT6816 provides a 3-wire or 4-wire SPI interface for the host computer or MCU to read the 14-bit absolute angle value inside the chip. At the same time, the single-line output PWM can also provide absolute angle data with a resolution of 12 bits.
